According to Coldwell Banker Previews International’s latest annual Luxury Market Report, Boca Raton is the 18th ranked city in the United States for closed sales of homes valued at $5 million to $10 million. I think Boca Raton would have been ranked much higher, if there were more land along the intracoastal that was available for residential real estate development. Boca’s a relatively small to begin with, and city parks such as Lake Wyman, Spanish River, and Gumbo Limbo utilize huge chunks of property along the intracoastal. If it weren’t for the parks, mansions would certainly be built along those stretches of prime real estate. Having said that, I’m glad the parks are there even though I’m a realtor.
