Former Miami Dolphin Coach Joe Philbin Lists South Florida Home

Joe Philbin Home

My wife and 2 boys went to the Miami Dolphin game yesterday, and watched them destroy the Houston Texans 44-26.  As I watched the new Miami Dolphin coach Dan Campbell pace the sidelines, I wondered what the former coach, Joe Philbin was up to.  I did a little research, but didn’t see anything about landing a new job in the National Football league (NFL).  However, I did notice that his home in Davie, Florida has officially been listed at 2.5 million.

Coach Philbin was only with the Dolphins for 3 years, but he did get to live in the very nice gated community of Northstar Estates.  Philbin purchased the real estate back in 2012 for 1.78 million according to the Sun Sentinel article.  He’ll make a nice little profit, if he’s able to sell it at the price.  The price seems a little aggressive, but the article also says that the Philbin family is in no tremendous hurry to sell the home.  We all know how typical it is for a seller in no hurry to move to list their home above the true market value.  This, along with not finding any news about a new job for Philbin, leads me to believe that he’s going to take some time off and figure out what his next move is going to be.  According coacheshotseat.com, Philbin was making a 3.5 million dollar salary with the Dolphins.

Meanwhile, new coach Dan Campbell is on a roll with 2 consecutive wins after the 1-3 start with Philbin at the helm.  Based on the number of coaching changes in Miami in the recent past, Realtors should market themselves to any new coach coming in.  They’re bound to be putting their mansion on the market within the next 2-3 years.
